Photography is my drug. Literally, it heals

I have been very sick lately with a blood and anemia problem that has yet to have a cause or name.
About six months ago I passed out on a volleyball court, about a month later I passed out on a chiropractic bed, and yet again on a toilet in the middle of the night. I knew something was wrong so I visited my doctor,  I was sent directly to the hospital after passing out as soon as a needle was put in my arm to give me the iron I needed. They had discovered I had little to no red blood cells in my system at all. And almost a ZERO amount of iron in my blood. I was given 2 bags of donor blood 8 hours later.

Things still have not been found....whats wrong with me? we still don't know.

Luckily I have the worlds best family support. And to top that the worst best boyfriend! And I managed through the night :)
But I wanted to get the message to everyone that donating blood really does save lives. If I hadn't received that blood it could have caused life threatening consequences. Even though I cant donate blood anymore, I strongly support the idea of it! It really does go to helping a person. Maybe someone you would never even expect. Like me.

Here's a link to the American Red Cross if you are interested in finding out more.

in conclusion, After having all these things happen to me, I discovered a stronger passion for photography. It helps me cope with my anxiety that I have created over whether I'm going to pass out today or the next day. Everyday I take it upon myself to take a new picture! And it works, it creates a diversion for my worries to follow!

This is my niche' and I hope you enjoy seeing my photos from here and my website (ambphotography.shutterfly.com) I hope that I can get helpful feed back on my photography so I can continue to grow...

~ and maybe pay off some medical bills for a new camera ;)

Thanks everyone for reading. I love to share! and please tell me your stories!

DYI!! Photography

Photography....
SO FUN! When you have the right tools. Me? I don't  But after think long and hard about how I can create my own equipment! What do you know! I did it! I created my own reflector and diffuser  And soon to come an umbrella.

Reflector Recipe:
1 pizza box
1 roll of foil
1 roll of masking tape

1. Make sure the Pizza Box is somewhat clean and your foil is a little bit wrinkly (if its to flat the foil will shine on your subjects faces!
2. Wrap one side of the pizza box completely in the wrinkled foil.
3. Tape corners and edges. And Wallah! There is your reflector!

(pics coming soon)

Diffuser Recipe:
(White) Coffee filter placed over cameras normal flash bulb!

My best friend!

My best friend and her family from Germany are coming to visit!!

Their flight comes into Seattle tonight at 9:30pm! Sadly I won't be there because I have to work in the morning and its not worth driving all the way down there for one day.

I am so excited to see them even though i only get to see her for four days it will be one of the best parts of my summer! I'm so glad that they are coming! We will be going to Lake Padden on Friday and maybe Vancouver on Thursday! and Definitely Leavenworth on Saturday! I'm super duper excited!

Summer Problems...

Have yet to get nearly half of my summer bucket list crossed off...=( its depressing. Today was day seven of nine days in a row at work. Within these last seven days we've gotten a new store manager one manager has quite and the whole store got changed and switched around its been interesting. But I'm glad I have friends fun enough to play volleyball with me when they get off work at six in the evening! Sand volleyball tonight and in the grass yesterday!

Family Summer! 2012

Lake Padden
A beautiful haven for families and fun =)

Bulldogs vs. Snohomish (Take a bite outta cancer)

Bulldogs Keep it Rolling
Take a bite outta cancer game!
This game was to raise money for cancer foundations! Every man on the team wore colors representing types of cancer. Chris (#33) wore teal, black, purple and pink representing ovarian/cervical cancer (for my mom), melenoma skin cancer (for his aunt), breast cancer and purple for all cancers. Good game boys!
Loooong game but good win!
