I can't believe I forgot to write and post about our family's beautiful Easter/birthday celebration!
About a month before Easter my aunt Melanie, who is a lifestyle stylist extraordinaire, messaged me and all her nieces about setting up an Easter to remember. We were all assigned a project or food to make.
I was in charge of photography (of course), carrot soup and making bunny decorations!
Now carrot soup was very important to our family since its a soup my grandma would make for my cousins and I, and always tell us it was going to be our wedding soup. So I really couldn't mess this one up.
It turned out amazing and almost brought grandpa to tears.
The bunnies which you will see below were a pintrest find that turned out super duper cute!
Then as you may have observed up above I mentioned that it was not only Easter but also a birthday celebration. Two of my aunt's were born a few years apart on the same day! And this year it just so happened to fall on Easter.
So naturally we had to do a little something special for these ladies.
We made them the cutest flower crowns as well as did a photo shoot with the two of them in my grandpa's garden.
What a wonderful day!
Now time to show off what we did.

Yet another on a whim shoot, these seem to be the best way to go!
This one is inspired by the new Fall Out Boy Album titled American Beauty American Psycho.
The album cover features this young man:
Because we couldn't seem to find face paint in our little town of Ferndale we resorted to black lipstick in the Walgreen make up isle! and a eyeliner pencil. My model, Tuesday, basically free handed the whole thing and with a quick spray of hairspray it was ready to go. No hair or extra make up was used and she wore and old white tank of mine to give us that extra grungy look.
Here are a few of my favorites yet again,

What was just a silly laundry day for one of my closest friends turned into one of the best photoshoots I have ever done. I was able to use my favorite part of photography, sun flare, in ways I never knew I could do! It was fabulous.
My friend Michele sent me a snapchat one afternoon of her outfit she just washed and was wearing and I said "stop right there put on some jewelry we are going to do a shoot" and it turned out absolutely stunning

I think I am finally starting to discover who I am as an artist! I have discovered how much I love and adore sun flare and natural light with the beauty of gold tones! I think I am on to something! This shoot I did with another co-worker (seriously guys the best models ever! and usually they do it for free cause its fun!). Jessica has never modeled before and did a fantastic job! She took my awkward direction very well but I have become more confident in my posing and I am loving it!
I cannot wait to work with her in the future as well as with other models and artists.
Locations: Cornwall Park and Boulevard Park Bellingham, WA
H&M: Jessica herself
